Little Red Hen Revised

There once was a little Scott family who visited Cajun Country. The Scott's friends were the grandparents (Grandpa & Grandma), the older uncle (Chris, unfortunately Aunt Jen had to work), and the younger uncle (Matthew).

One day, the little Scott family found a marsh to go crabbing. "We can make dinner from this," thought the little Scott family.

The little Scott family asked, "Who will help us tie the raw chicken to some string?"

"I will," said the grandparents.
"I will," said the older uncle.
"I will," said the younger uncle.

"Then lets do it together," said the little Scott family. And they tied the raw chicken to some string!

The little Scott family asked, "Who will teach us how to catch a crab?"

"I will," said the grandparents.
"I will," said the older uncle.
"I will," said the younger uncle.

They all cast their lines and waited for a tug...

The little Scott family asked, "I feel a tug! Who will bring over the net to help me catch the crab?"
"Not I," said the grandparents, (they had crabs tugging on their own line).
"Not I," said the older uncle (he were to busy with his own line).
"I will," said the younger uncle.

"Then come help us catch this crab!" said the little Scott family. And they put the net in the water and caught their first crab!

The excited little Scott family asked, "Who will help us put these crabs on ice?"
"I will," said the grandparents.
"I will," said the older uncle.
"Not I," said the younger uncle (he had gone back to crabbing himself)

"Then lets do it together," said the little Scott Family. So they took the crabs to the ice chest and added the crabs to the ice.

The very, very excited little Scott family asked, "Who will help us catch more?"
"I will," said the grandparents.
"I will," said the older uncle.
"I will," said the younger uncle.

So they spent the afternoon relaxing by the marsh catching crabs galore!

The very, very excited Scott family asked, "Who will help us cook the crabs?"
"I will," said the grandparents.
"I will," said the older uncle.
"I will," said the younger uncle.

"Then lets do it together," said the very, very excited Scott family. And they boiled those crabs in some crab boil!

The hot, fresh crabs smelled very good. The little Scott family asked, "Now, who will help us eat the crabs?"

"Not I!" said the grandparents.
"Not I!" said the older uncle.
"Not I!" said the younger uncle.

The catching was fun, but the little Scott family friends are not crab eaters, and neither are most of the little Scott family, so Tyson of the little Scott family said,
"Fine! I will eat it myself!"
And he ate all the crab meat without any help at all!

Best story ever! And Tyson- I know that there is not a ton of meat on each of those little guys so if you combine all the meat together it's just like one portion size. :)

Well aren't you clever! This was so fun to read. I have to admit I would be with the group that said "Not I!" to eat the crabs!

Wish the little Bennett family was there to help Tyson eat the crab--we all love crab (although we're partial to Maryland crabs). That looks like fun!!
