We have a beach, and compared to other people in the country, it is still pretty close to us, not 5 minutes like in Huntington Beach, but close enough that we can go on a Saturday and spend a couple hours and be home without it being a HUGE long day event.
I really love the Oregon Coast. It is beautiful and has a lot of things to explore that Southern California beaches do not have.
I love Southern California beaches because they are sunny and warm, and you can run around in your swimsuit and be totally warm and happy!

i am freezing cold as i am reading this. shivering, seriously. a warm day on the beach sounds so nice. Northern California beaches sound a bit like Oregon's. Makes sense since they're right next to each other :) Better than nothing i suppose.
