Tyson had to take his National Medical Boards Test in Las Vegas. He was just going to go by himself, but I had this great idea to ask my mom if she would come out and stay for awhile. So she came, and I got to tag along with Tyson sans kids. He took his test, and I sat at the pool. I definitely got the better end of the deal.
I picked him up in the late afternoon, and we walked the strip, literally the ENTIRE strip to get from our hotel, Luxor, to the Wynn, to go to their infamous and very expensive buffet.
We made stops in Paris:
Italy and had gelato:
Greece and took pictures of the ancient ruins:
New York and walked downtown and across the Brooklyn Bridge...
We took pictures with some famously sweet guys..
And FINALLY ended up at the Wynn, with very big appetites!
We decided to take pictures of all of our plates, after we had each had two plates of food...
But we were definitely getting our money worth!
The worst part of the trip, having sore feet from walking 4 miles in flip flops, then binge eating, and having to walk the 4 miles back. BRUTAL, but definitely worth it!
2 love notes:
i know exactly the kind of sore feet your talking about. back in my college years we did a road trip to LV for NYE, and I walked from the Palms hotel down to the strip in back in high-heeled boots. Biggest mistake of my life. My blisters were so bad i literally couldn't walk the next day. I crawled. no joke.
Vegas is fun but unless it's cool, we mostly drive around. Our favorite place to eat (so far) is Bayside Buffet at Mandalay Bay. Even better when we had a 2 for 1 deal, it was crab leg heaven. ~
