We made "Jackson Pollock" type paintings...
First we taped our paper into the box lids:

Then we dropped marbles into paint and then onto our paper:

And just moved the box and let the marbles roll:

i have loved this book ever since you gave it to me at my baby shower. every time i read it i try to get kate to memorize the artists' names. i love this painting idea. and you also make perfect pancakes. quite amazing.
What a fun idea! I bet your kids loved doing that.
that is such a rad idea. I think I want to try that out with my kids, only, we will be more authentic and incorporate some candy cigarettes while working on the art. ;-)
How fun. And i love Olivia books. They remind me so much of my...inventive 5 year old. :)
