Bucket List

We have a bucket list of things we want to do before we move from awesome Orange County. Everytime we drive to my inlaws, Tyson ALWAYS talks about taking a hike at this one certain place.
Well, we had a picnic and a hike at that exact place today at the Quail Hill Preserve.

I need a tripod, so we can have real family pictures.

Now, you might be wondering why we decided to hike in this particular place without trees or any manner of shade at 1 in the afternoon..?
The answer would be because I wanted wear those kids out so they would be in bed at 6 pm, so I could go to bed early, because you better believe my neighbor and I are getting up in the middle of the night to watch the marraige of these two lovies.

Good times at 2 am here!

Lemons to Lemonade

We were at Grandma and Grandpa's house, and Tyson was was pruning their lemon tree.
It had so many lemons, and Merrick saw the need to back up the big wheel truck by his dad so that Tyson could drop them in.

Then Merrick and Berkleigh drove all over the backyard, front yard, trying to give away lemons to whoever walked by.

Grandma said, "Hey back that truck up in the kitchen and lets make some lemonade!"

So, that is just what the did.

There is nothing like a beautiful day and homemade lemonade with crushed ice and strawberries to get you excited for summer!

Our Easter Best

Happy Easter everyone!

I had so much fun envisioning these Easter outfits. They were fun to make and also gave me a reason to buy Berkleigh some Salt Water sandals. I have wanted them for her forever, and it was finally the time! They add just the right touch!

I took Berkleigh and Merrick to a mustard field yesterday to take Easter pictures so I wouldn't have to wake up so early today! It was a totally brilliant plan. Now we can enjoy our easter morning together, find the well hidden Easter baskets, and get ready at our leisure. We can get to church without rushing, and sit and listen to the prelude music, and feel the spirit of Easter. I also won't have to worry about them gettting super dirty, or in Berkleigh's case, crazy hair, by the end of the day!

(sorry for the random placement of these photos! Blogger is being funny.)

It's hunting time...

We dyed Easter Eggs with Grandma and Grandpa 2 weeks ago. They have been sitting on our kitchen table as decoration for those 2 weeks. They were starting to smell... so we thought we needed an egg hunt B.A.D.
So we called up the Easter Bunny and he hopped on over earlier this week.

Success!

Then this morning we went on a Egg Hunt with Grandma and Grandpa at their neighborhood park. Always a good one. They let the grass grow for weeks, so the eggs are hard to find!

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's and hid more eggs!
I think you could learn a thing or two from Merrick and his stances that better your chances of finding more eggs.

It really was egg hunting season!
